And as you fall more and more in love with a person, eventually comes the time for the proposal. Chris had planned for a surprise engagement out at sunset on the beach, which couldn’t be a more romantic notion when you’re in Hawaii. All these sandy beaches, fiery sunsets, and gorgeous sceneries—what other place would be more magical to propose in?

While at the beginning, Jenny was under the idea that this was a couples photoshoot, a loved one helped set up the engagement scene: candles in the sand, shaped into a heart. Someone nearby to serenade everyone on an ukelele. And to tie it all together, a handwritten letter from Chris to Jenny about his feelings and immense love for her. And the part everyone was waiting for: she said yes!

After tearful congratulations from their loved one, Jenny and Chris basked in their new engagement. There’s really nothing like that feeling where you realize you get to spend the rest of your life with your best friend. It’s almost like a never-ending adventure and and endless supply of fun and romance.
